  • Describe your company in one paragraph

InfAI Infinity GmbH has strong technical expertise, deep domain knowledge in cybersecurity and privacy, and extensive experience in managing digital innovation projects in the mobility and energy sectors. The company develops and operates backend systems for electric vehicle charging infrastructure and works closely with fleet operators, municipalities, and energy stakeholders. Building on this practical experience, InfAI Infinity has a strong focus on handling sensitive mobility and energy data in a secure and compliant way. With a clear emphasis on data protection, GDPR compliance, and privacy-by-design, the company enables data-driven applications without compromising data sovereignty. Its solutions combine reliable backend operation with advanced data processing capabilities, supporting real-world deployments of secure and interoperable energy and mobility systems.

  • What challenge are you addressing under the O-CEI Horizon’s first Open Call, and how is your proposal relevant to the challenge?

Under the O-CEI Horizon’s first Open Call, we address the challenge of enabling secure, interoperable and GDPR-compliant data sharing in electrified fleet and charging ecosystems (Challenge P3C1). Efficient fleet operation and energy optimization require the integration of heterogeneous data sources, including charging infrastructure, fleet operations, energy systems and external contextual data. However, much of this data is sensitive, creating a fundamental conflict between data utility and data protection.

Today, many solutions rely on centralized data aggregation, which introduces risks related to privacy, data sovereignty and trust between stakeholders. As a result, organizations are often reluctant to share data, limiting the potential of AI-driven optimization and cross-system collaboration.

Our proposal, PrivacyGuard-Fleet, directly addresses this bottleneck through a privacy-preserving edge-cloud architecture. Sensitive data is processed locally at the edge, where anonymization and pseudonymization mechanisms are applied before any data is shared. Only processed and privacy-preserving data is transmitted to the cloud for optimization and model training. This enables advanced data-driven optimization without exposing raw personal or operational data. Afterwards, the resulting optimization can be deployed back to the edge, enabling intelligent charging strategies, energy flow optimization and support for advanced use cases such as Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G).

  • What is the expected impact of your proposal?

The expected impact of PrivacyGuard-Fleet is to enable secure, scalable, and privacy-compliant data utilization in electrified fleet and charging ecosystems. By removing the need to share raw operational or personal data, the solution lowers a major barrier for the adoption of AI-driven optimization in mobility and energy systems. This allows fleet operators to improve charging strategies, reduce energy costs, and better integrate renewable energy, while maintaining full control over their data.

From a technical perspective, the project will demonstrate how privacy-preserving technologies can be applied in real-world, multi-stakeholder environments, contributing to more interoperable and trustworthy Cloud-Edge-IoT architectures. Economically, it supports the transition towards scalable, software-based services for fleet optimization and smart charging, opening new business opportunities for service providers and platform operators.

Beyond individual use cases, the project contributes to a more resilient and efficient energy system by enabling coordinated optimization across fleets and infrastructure without compromising data privacy. It also strengthens trust in digital solutions, which is essential for wider adoption. By providing reusable methodologies, standardized interfaces, and validated approaches through the O-CEI ecosystem, PrivacyGuard-Fleet creates a foundation for replication and scaling across Europe, supporting the broader goals of sustainable mobility, data sovereignty, and secure digital innovation.
