This week marks the 60th edition of the NCSR “Demokritos” Summer School. On July 8th, the spotlight was on the Institute of Informatics and Telecommunications, with a day dedicated to showcasing its work.
As part of the event, the FutuRe cOmmunication NeTworks (FRONT) Research Group, the specific NDSRD team involved in the O-CEI project, delivered a series of focused presentations highlighting their research contributions to various European projects. The presentations emphasized the role of AI technologies in beyond 5G (B5G) networks and the network-computing continuum.
A key highlight was the work presented under the O-CEI project by Vasilis Pitsilis, demonstrating the mutual benefits and deep integration between AI technologies and the network-computing continuum. The discussion explored how AI can enable more efficient and autonomous continuum operations, while also illustrating how the continuum itself offers new opportunities for advancing AI technologies. research and innovative solutions shaping the future of intelligent networks.
