The partners in Pilot 8 of the O-CEI Horizon project attended two important information events organized by the Smart Energy District (SED) Project, held in Fribourg on Thursday, October 30th, and Monday, November 3rd.
Private households, both producers and consumers of electricity, are becoming major players in the new electricity system. To gather residents’ opinions and expectations, and set up a panel of consumer-producers, two information sessions were organized: October 30th and November 3rd.
The discussions confirmed the initial research hypotheses, in particular the need to better understand the context and existing installations, as well as the possibilities for optimization at the housing level: self-consumption, storage, flexibility, exchanges, etc. Participants emphasized their desire to have all the information they need to implement energy measures that bring real added value given their situation. This involves parameters that affect financial resources and return on investment as well as the acceptability of a more community-based approach to energy management at the district level.
