SUMMARY:Panel “EU regulations and impact on 6G networks and terminals“
DESCRIPTION:Dr. Valerio Frascolla (Intel) organized and chaired the panel “EU regulations and impact on 6G networks and terminals“ in the Workshop “6th International Workshop on Real-life Modeling in 5G/6G networks and beyond (REFRESH)” organized during the “International conference on distributed computing in smart systems and the internet of things (DCOSS-IoT)”\, held 22-24.06.2026 in Reykjavik\, Iceland. \nThe Panel\, attended by around twenty people\, entailed a presentation from Dr. Frascolla touching on the impact of European regulation on system design and an open discussion with the audience during a Panel session that featured Dr. Fabian Göttsch and Dr. Michail Alexandros Kourtis as panelists\, focused on providing system engineers and 6G technical experts with an understanding of the impact of EU regulations (AI Act\, Data Act\, Cybersecurity Act\, CRA\, etc.) on system design activities. \nThe project O-CEI is among the organizing EU-funded projects\, in synergy with 6G-ARROW\, MultiX\, and 6G-SENSES. \n \n \n \n
