The O-CEI Horizon partners working on the sub-pilot 1.2 will give a presentation on “OpenCNC Unleashed: Deploying and Exploring an Open-Source TSN Control Plane” at the 11th TSNA/A Conference 2026.
The presentation will highlight recent progress in OpenCNC, an open-source centralised Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) control plane, and its growing readiness for real-world deployment. Open-source tools such as OpenCNC can help simplify TSN management while providing a practical environment for experimentation and deployment.
The presentation will demonstrate key installation and configuration workflows, including the management of traffic classes, priorities, and VLANs, as well as Time-Aware Shaping (TAS) schedule generation and runtime reconfiguration. It will also discuss the scalability of the control plane and the challenges involved in moving from experimental setups towards real-world TSN deployments.
Through this work, O-CEI Pilot 1 will showcase how open-source approaches can support the practical deployment, management, and experimentation of deterministic networking technologies within Cloud-Edge-IoT environments.
